Glendale Police are hoping new images of burglars targeting 13 storage units will help lead to an arrest in the theft of more than $150,000 worth of goods from a storage facility on San Fernando Road.

Police said they were called to the Public Storage facility for burglaries twice in just two days. The first burglary was reported around 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 22.

Once inside, police found 13 storage units had been burglarized or damaged as burglars attempted to break in.

Items stolen from the units included sports and comic book memorabilia, collectible shoes and high-end electronics. At this time it is unclear how the thieves knew which units to target.

The storage facility shared surveillance footage with police in hopes that the public will be able to help identify them. The video shows three men and two women attempting to enter the facility via the access pad and later push open the automatic sliding doors around 7:45 a.m. on Sunday.

The day after the reported burglary, police were called back to the same facility around 11:30 a.m. for reports of another break-in at a unit that had been repaired after the first burglary.

Another look at surveillance footage showed the same suspects entering the facility around 6 p.m. Sunday to break into the victim’s storage unit for a second time, police said.

Once again, the footage shows suspects using carts to exit the building with boxes of collectible shoes and comic books and put them into vehicles waiting outside.
