After nabbing gold in the 2026 Winter Olympics and winning hearts on social media with her routine, skater Alysa Liu has a mural in Gardena.

The mural is located on 156th St. just off Crenshaw Blvd. and was local street artist Gustavo Zermeno Jr. is behind the mural. He told KNX News’ Jon Baird he just had to paint her face.

“I mean, of course, her winning the gold, and I think her personality,” he said. “There's multiple layers again. Her going to UCLA. She's first generation American as well as me, both my parents are immigrants. So again, I think there's multiple layers there that I feel inspired by her, but you know, obviously the world feels inspired by her as well.”

The mural may not be finished, but it’s already garnering attention, Marya drove from Marina Del Rey to check it out.

“This is an example of her radiation right now,” she told Baird. “Look at that face. It's incredible.”

Liu became the first American woman to win an individual figure skating gold medal since 2002
