A corruption trial that rocked Los Angeles City Hall, ended political careers, and sent people to prison isn't over just yet, with a witness revealing some new and damning testimony.
As KNX News' Craig Fiegener reports, testimony in downtown Los Angeles Federal Court is coming from the owner of a high-end cabinet-making business acting as a cooperating witness with the federal government in this case against former Los Angeles deputy Mayor Raymond Chan.
He was also a key figure in the case against former Los Angeles council member José Huizar.
Both Chan and Huizar are accused of enriching themselves to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars in exchange for facilitating the construction of massive downtown Los Angeles building projects.

Huizar pleaded guilty to tax evasion and racketeering and is serving 13 years in prison.
This case against Chan alleges he received $1.5 million in a pay-to-play scheme for illicit deals connected to downtown development projects.
Government prosecutors have suggested that the case is also related to the graffiti towers, but it's not clear what role, if any, they'll play in the prosecution.
