Los Angeles Fire Department Capt. Erik Scott said in a statement Monday that the fires occurred between 10 p.m. Sunday and 2 a.m. Monday, "involving vehicles, rubbish and a structure."

No injuries were reported in any of the fires, one of which left a pickup severely damaged and another that damaged the side of a building.

Scott said the LAFD Arson Counter-Terrorism Section and the Los Angeles Police Department are "actively investigating the cause of these incidents and any possible connection between them."

He urged anyone with information about the fires to contact investigators at 213-893-9800. People can also submit photos or videos to the department via email at lafdarson@lacity.org.
