Two people were arrested in a stabbing incident at a downtown Los Angeles restaurant that left four people injured on Sunday.
Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department responded to Zaya on W 7th St. to a report of women being stabbed in a fight. Witnesses told police a fight broke out between a group of women.
Two women were arrested, and a folding knife was reportedly recovered nearby, KNX News’ Pete Demetriou reported. Four women were treated for stab and slashing wounds, but there were no life-threatening injuries
A statement about the incident was posted on Zaya’s Instagram page, reading, “We are aware of the incident that occured earlier today. While some situations develop unexpectedly and are beyond our control.”
Officials said that “safety of our guests and staff remains our highest priority,” and they thanked the officers and emergency responders.
