Missing 7-month-old from Yucaipa believed to be dead, deputies say

The parents of Emmanuel Haro, a missing 7-month-old, have been arrested and investigators have determined that Haro is deceased.

“This morning, detectives from the Sheriff’s Homicide Detail and Specialized Enforcement Division arrested Jake and Rebecca Haro at their residence in Cabazon for PC 187 – Murder,” a post on X by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department read.

Emmanuel has been missing since Aug. 14. According to the department, deputies responded to a reported kidnapping at the Big 5 in Yucaipa.

"Based on the evidence, investigators determined a kidnapping in Yucaipa did not occur," according to a press release by the department. "It is believed Emmauel is deceased and the search to recover his remains is ongoing."
