ANAHEIM, Calif. (KNX) — Disneyland is one step closer to normal this month, with the return of the parking trams that get visitors from the parking structures to the main entrances of Disneyland and California Adventure.

When the parks first reopened at limited capacity last April, only California residents were allowed in. Since then, both parks have reopened to out-of-staters and the two-thirds of a mile walk to the parks has continuously been discussed by visitors in less than ideal terms. Complain no more though, the trams return on Feb. 23.

Though the trams are back and the park has returned to full-capacity, several COVID safety measures remain in effect.

Though guests do not have to mask up while outdoors, all aged two and older must wear face coverings while indoors, including while on many of the two theme parks' attractions and in enclosed transportation vehicles, regardless of vaccination status.

However, the park hasn't made it clear if the indoor mask mandate will change when the state discontinues its indoor mandate for vaccinated residents on Feb. 15.

If the news of the parking tram return has you down - guest who wish to continue walking can still do so my taking the pedestrian bridge over Magic Way to get to the parks, according to CBS L.A.
