EAST LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Authorities Thursday identified a pedestrian who was fatally hit by a vehicle on the northbound Santa Ana (5) Freeway in the East Los Angeles area.
The crash was reported about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday near Indiana Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Ramiro Licea, 18, who was homeless, died at the scene, the Los Angeles County coroner's office reported.
The northbound freeway was closed for about two hours while an investigation was conducted.
