A person was hit by a vehicle and killed Wednesday on the Hollywood (101) Freeway near downtown Los Angeles.
Officers were sent to the southbound 101 Freeway near Vermont Avenue about 5 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Information was not immediately available on the identity of the fatally injured person. Several southbound lanes were blocked in the area while an investigation was conducted.
