A pilot of a small plane was killed Friday afternoon when his aircraft crashed into a semi-trailer at the Port of Los Angeles.
Margaret Stewart of LA City Fire tells KNX 1070 News it happened on Pier 300, on the 2500 block of Navy Way. She says "the occupant of the plane was deceased on the scene. The occupant of the semi-trailer truck was transported in serious condition. We have secured the plane."
The NTSB is investigating the crash.
A fire crew is at the scene.
