The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a call at about 10:30 AM Thursday at Walter Reed Middle School of a "possible overdose" situation involving 17 students.

LAFD's Margaret Stewart told KNX News that the students hospitalized were not in any life-threatening distress.
An investigation was underway, and there was no word about what substance caused the incident.
