Rain is expected to continue hitting Southern California through Wednesday morning.

“A strong storm will continue to impact #SoCal thru Wed morning,” the National Weather Service wrote on X. “After a ‘lull’ [Monday] afternoon/tonight, a second pulse of moderate/heavy rain is expected Tue and Tue night. There's also the potential for strong thunderstorms Tue/Tue night.”

The NWS issued a flood watch for all of Los Angeles County except the Antelope Valley until Thursday.

Los Angeles County is expected to get 1.50 to three inches of rain, while Ventura County is expected to get one to two inches of rain, according to the NWS. San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties is expected to receive .5 to one inch of rain.

The effects of the storm are already being felt in several areas. On Monday, a portion of PCH closed due to a rockslide. There were also 27 reports of fallen trees and branches, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Also on Monday, the L.A.’s Emergency Operations Center was activated to a Level 2 to “ monitor the impacts and coordinate the resources needed to respond to the new storm system moving into Los Angeles.”
