LOS ANGELES (KNX) — Any tourists trying to take pictures of the Hollywood sign this week will be out of luck because the iconic landmark will be temporarily altered to celebrate the Los Angeles Rams’ big Super Bowl win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

Mayor Eric Garcetti announced Sunday night the city will build and display a temporary installation over the Hollywood sign in partnership with the Rams, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, and the Hollywood Sign Trust.

The new sign will read “Rams House” and be on display through Wednesday, when the team is scheduled to have its Super Bowl parade.

“What a day in Los Angeles – the Rams are Super Bowl Champions,” Garcetti said in a statement. “This town has the best teams and fans in the world, and we can’t wait to show off our L.A. pride with a display that only Hollywood could deliver. Go Rams.”

“Winning a Super Bowl for Los Angeles and our fans in our home stadium is a dream come true,” said Los Angeles Rams Chief Operating Officer Kevin Demoff.  “We are grateful to the City, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, and the Hollywood Sign Trust to allow us to recognize this historic championship by turning the iconic Hollywood sign into a celebration of our fans and our community.”

The installation will not include any lighting features, officials said.

Anyone visiting the sign this week should know parking, trespassing, and other code violations will be enforced, officials added.

“Please be respectful of local residents, and stay in public areas,” Garcetti said.
