“Red Alert,” a new limited series, highlights the heroic actions taken by people—Jewish and Muslim—on October 7, 2023.
Lawrence Bender, who produced “Inglourious Bastards” and “Pulp Fiction,” also produced the limited series. He told KNX News’ Emily Valdez that the series follows four families.
“We have an amazing story about an Arab man, a man from Gaza who has to survive with his little baby, and ends up saving IDF soldiers and wins a Medal of Honor for doing it,” he said. “We have a story from the Nova Festival because people knew a lot about the Nova Festival. It's about a man who's trying to save his wife. We have stories, family stories about a woman who's trying to save her son, and in the process of trying to save her son, she saves all these other people, her neighbors. It's really about ordinary everyday people, underdogs who rise above, and they really become superheroes. They do things that I don't know if any of us could, would be able to do.”

He added that the real people, whose stories were told, were involved in the production process.
“They came to the sets,” he said. “They watched rough cuts. They watched the final cut. It was really, really, really important for us, for them, to be behind it 100% for them to feel good.”
“Red Alert” is streaming now on Paramount+.
