The reward for information leading to the arrest of the person who shot and killed 6-year-old Aiden Leos, in a road rage incident in Orange is now $200,000. An anonymous donor added $50,000 to the existing $150,000 reward last night.

As the hunt continues for the killer, over $200,000 has been pledged toward two GoFundMe campaigns to help the young victim's family.

Leos was shot while sitting in his mother's car in his car seat on the 55-freeway. Joanna Cloonan tells ABC's "Good Morning" America" it took her a moment to realize what had happened as she was trying to get away from a car that cut her off.

"They took my son's life away. He was beautiful and kind... and you killed him for no reason," Cloonan said.

The grieving mother appealed to anyone with information to come forward, saying she wanted "justice to be served for my son."

At the time of the shooting, Leos was transported to the Children's Hospital of Orange County.

There's a growing makeshift memorial to Aiden near the shooting scene -- and one woman who went there tells KNX it's impossible to understand the tragedy.

Investigators have pulled evidence from the car and the search is on to see if video cameras in the area caught an image of the car or its license plate after it left the freeway.

CHP officer Florentino Olivera says they are trying to find out a motive for the shooting that happened before 8:30 a.m. Friday morning on the northbound 55 at Chapman Avenue.

The suspect, who is still at large, was driving a white Volkswagon Jetta.

Initially, all lanes had been shut down, and drivers wer being advised to avoid the area.

The agency also established the santaanachptipline@chp.ca.gov email address to receive any tips about the shooting. Anonymous tips can also be phoned in to 800-TELL-CHP, Olivera said. "Someone is always available to answer that call," he said.

Anyone with information that may be helpful to investigators is asked to call CHP Officer Kevin Futrell at 714-567-6000.
