As another storm rolls into Southern California, Sierra Madre city officials have already issued an evacuation warning.

The warning will be in effect from 6 a.m. Wednesday through 6 a.m. Friday.

“If an evacuation order is issued, you need to go,” Fire Chief Brent Bartlett said in a video. “Do not wait. Do not take chances.”

KNX News’ Jon Baird spoke with residents David and Laurie who were concerned about the storm.

“I mean, it's scary because it's not going to take much more now is what we're hearing,” Laurie said.

“The city has worked hard nonstop with every daylight hour, and we're so grateful to the city and their contractors,” David said. “They were here through the weekend digging. I mean, every morning there are 30 dump trucks lined up ready to go.”
