Residents of a Silver Lake neighborhood, with an allegedly illegal AirBnB “short-term-rental turned party house,"  are calling on the City of Los Angeles to enforce its Home-Sharing Ordinance.

KNX 1070 News is in contact with the City’s Planning Department which is looking into the issue.

In what was supposed to be the quiet, family-friendly neighborhood where Lilly Taylor & her husband would raise their kids, the house next door has become an absolute nuisance.

"It was kind of not that bad and then there was this huge party in October that woke us up at midnight and we looked outside and there were probably 20-30 people in the street and cars zooming up and down the street," Lilly says.

This woman lives across the street.

"They had a, literally, guy at the gate to check things and people were waiting to go in and out with wristbands," she says.

A group known as Better Neighbors LA planned to deliver a formal complaint against the rental to the City’s Planning Department on behalf of Taylor.

It states that she has reported disturbances & apparent Home Sharing Ordinance violations to the department's hotline numbers times, but the issues are on-going.
