Scary moments for a skydiver whose parachute got tangled in power lines Monday afternoon. The skydiver was suspended near Lake Elsinore dangling about 30 feet above the ground. Firefighters called Southern California Edison to the scene.

“[Southern California Edison] were able to make sure that the power was shut off to the line as well as bring the patient down with their bucket lift,” Cal-Fire-Riverside spokeswoman April Newman told KNX.

After a worker from Southern California Edison cut the power lines and safely brought the skydiver to the ground, Newman said the patient did complain of minor injuries. Emergency responders took the parachutist to the hospital for treatment.
