These are not cool beans — by any means.
Palm Springs and other Coachella Valley residents may find their caffeine craving overwhelming and espresso some disappointment this week after Starbucks locations in the area reported a shortage of ingredients needed to craft Frappuccinos.

Blame the nationwide shipping crisis. Or – as baristas at the Sunrise Way location described it – a “production and delivery” issue.
The Valley coffee franchises said they won’t receive shipments of all necessary ingredients until the end of the week.
The syrup that gives Frappuccinos their “creamy texture” did not arrive in the stores’ recent deliveries, the Desert Sun reported.
Frappuccinos aren’t the only Starbucks products in short supply. The chain said it’s been hard keeping matcha powder, oat milk, and cup stoppers in stock as well.
Los Angeles locations of the Seattle-based chain face similar shortages, most notably among milk options.
Coachella Valley region coffeemakers hope to begin brewing the signature drink a-“latte” more by Nov. 12.
