Teenage girl reported missing in East L.A.

EAST LOS ANGELES, Calif. (KNX) — Investigators with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department have asked for the public’s help Tuesday in locating a missing 15-year-old East L.A. girl.

Stephanie Saavedra was last seen at around 6 p.m. on Saturday in the vicinity of the 400 block of Woods Avenue, according to Deputy Tracy Koerner with the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

Saavedra is described as standing at four feet, nine inches tall; weighing 130 pounds with long, straight blonde hair and brown eyes. She is of Hispanic descent and was last seen wearing a gray sweater with blue jeans.

Anyone with information about Saavedra or her whereabouts has been asked to call the Sheriff’s Missing Persons Unit at (323) 890-5500. Tipsters wishing to remain anonymous may call the L.A. Regional Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477.
