Southern California could get some rain early this week, with most of the precipitation likely falling Tuesday, but skies should dry up in plenty of time for Thanksgiving, forecasters said Monday.

Most of Los Angeles County and Orange County will likely see less than a half-inch of rain, according to the National Weather Service. Rainfall rates are expected to be low-to-moderate, with no widespread flooding impact anticipated. Likewise forecasters said there are no significant snow or thunderstorms concerns with what they described as a "rather warm system."

The NWS called for a 20% chance of showers Monday afternoon in the Los Angeles area, with rain likely Tuesday and a 50% chance of rain on Wednesday.

For Thanksgiving, there is currently a roughly 10% chance of showers, followed by around a 20% chance of showers Friday into Saturday.

The downtown Los Angeles area is expected to see daytime highs in the mid-60s most of the week, rising to 71 on Thursday, with overnight temperatures in the lower 50s.
