A town hall meeting to discuss the ongoing recovery efforts from the Lineage warehouse fire will be held at Stevenson Middle School on Thursday night.
Mayor Karen Bass is expected to attend, as well as Councilmember Ysabel Jurado, Supervisor Hilda Solis, and Lineage Logistics, the company that operated the cold storage facility.
They're expected to update residents about the clean-up efforts, environmental monitoring, and community resources that are still available.
It starts at 6 p.m. Residents planning to attend the town hall are asked to register in advance. You can do so at the official meeting page.
Since the fire started on June 17, residents in the area have dealt with a plethora of issues, including smoke, the smell of rotting food, and rats.
Although the exact cause of the fire is still unknown, officials at Lineage said they believe it started on the roof while subcontractors were servicing the solar array.
