As gusty Santa Ana winds are hitting parts of Southern California, some winds caused a tree to slam down onto some cars in Lake Balboa early Thursday morning.
It happened around 2 a.m. on W. Victory Boulevard, according to City News Service.
Video taken by KNX News’ Jon Baird showed the cars were parked along the sidewalk in front of an apartment complex. The tree also brought down some utility wires with it.
One car owner told KNX News’ Jon Baird that in terms of damage, he got lucky.

“These cars got damaged in the truck. The tree trunk hit them,” he said. But I just got the wire.”
No injuries were reported. Officials with the Department of Water and Power and the Los Angeles Fire Department are assessing the damage.
Capt. Erik Scott with the Los Angeles Fire Department said winds like the ones expected Thursday could make quite an impact.
“Now, the impacts of those winds are typical where you could have some blown trees that could fall down, especially with the wet soil from the recent rains,” he said. “Travel can be a little more difficult, especially if you're driving a high-profile vehicle and we have the potential for downed wires.”
The high wind warning will be in effect through 4 p.m. Thursday.
