LOS ANGELES (KNX) — UCLA men’s basketball announced it was canceling its Saturday matchup against North Carolina in the CBS Sports Classic because of COVID-19 developments within the Bruins program.

The game was scheduled to be played at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The team says the game will not be rescheduled.

The school’s athletic department announced team-related activities have been paused, and the status of future games is to be determined.

This is the second game this week UCLA has canceled. The Number 4 ranked team also canceled its home game against Alabama State less than an hour prior to tip Wednesday night due to COVID-19 protocols, the school announced.

The school also issued a statement hours earlier that coach Mike Cronin would not be coaching due to COVID-19 protocols.
