Thrill-seekers who visit Universal Studios Hollywood and Six Flags Magic Mountain must show proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or a negative COVID test.

L.A. County announced a COVID-19 vaccine mandate requiring proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test for outdoor events involving 10,000 people or more on Sept. 15. Now, beginning Oct. 7, guests 12-years-old and up must show that proof at amusement parks.

If unvaccinated, visitors must show proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours prior to visiting the park. Six Flags, however, said it will provide its guests with free, rapid COVID-19 testing on-site.

On its website, Six Flags said it would only require proof of vaccination on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays this month. The Valencia-based park said visitors can download the CLEAR app to expedite the entry process.

Meanwhile, Universal Studios' website asks guests to always be ready to show proof. Additionally, beginning Nov. 1, those 18-years-old and older will have to show photo identification to get into the park.
