Authorities on Friday sought the public's help to find a man with autism who went missing from the community of Val Verde, northwest of Santa Clarita.
Maxwell Perkins Cornell, 29, was last seen on Thursday about 1 p.m. in the 30000 block of Madison Way, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Cornell is white, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs 170 pounds, and has curly brown hair and green eyes. He was wearing a gray shirt and black pants.
"Mr. Cornell suffers from autism and anxiety," the sheriff's department said in a statement. "His family is concerned for his well-being and asking for your help."
Anyone with information on his whereabouts was urged to call the sheriff's Missing Persons Unit at 323-890-5500, or Crime Stoppers at 800-222- TIPS. Tipsters may also use the website https://lacrimestoppers.org.
