Money to repair that storm-damaged stretch of Mulholland Drive was approved Friday by the L.A. City Council.
Mulholland between Beaumont and Skyline Drives has been closed since February 5, and councilmember Nithya Raman told KNX News' Craig Fiegener that it's going cost the city $6.5 million to fix.
"We introduced a motion to fully fund the estimated cost of the repairs along Mulholland...It is what the Bureau of Engineering has determined that we need in order to be able to address this," said Raman.
She is hopeful that they can move quickly in order to make the road passable and safe again.
The councilwoman says a timeline for completion is still unknown, but they will inform the public when the information becomes available.
