LOS ANGELES (KNX) — A wind advisory will be in effect in parts of Los Angeles County through 2 p.m. on Tuesday, according to the U.S. National Weather Service.

Strongest winds were expected for mountain communities.

Northeast winds were forecasted to blow between 20 and 30 miles per hour, with gusts up to 50 miles per hour in Acton, Burbank, Mount Wilson, Northridge, Sandberg, Santa Clarita, the Santa Monica Mountains Recreational Area, Universal City, and Woodland Hills.

The NWS has recommended drivers use extra caution while commuting Tuesday, as tree limbs might be knocked down. Locals were urged to secure outdoor objects.
