LOS ANGELES (KNX) — A wind advisory will remain in effect through Friday for parts of Southern California as another bout of Santa Ana winds batters the region.
Some areas will see up to 55 mile per hour gusts, which are expected to decrease in intensity by Thursday night.
Impacted areas, according to the National Weather Service, include the mountains of L.A. and Ventura counties, valleys of Ventura County, the San Fernando Valley, and the Santa Clarita Valley.
Beach communities in Ventura and L.A. counties, as well as the city of L.A. up to the Hollywood Hills, may experience gusts up to 40 miles per hour.

Residents were urged to look out for hazardous driving conditions, especially those who drive high-profile cars, like SUVs. Trees and power lines may be brought down, and winds may blow around unsecured objects.
