A wind advisory for parts of Los Angeles County has been issued by the National Weather Service Thursday.

The wind advisory for the Santa Clarita Valley, Santa Monica Mountains Recreational Area, Interstate 5 Corridor and Western San Gabriel Mountains is in effect until 3 p.m.

Northeast winds from 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph are expected.

Gusty winds can blow around unsecured objects and make driving difficult, especially for those driving high-profile vehicles. The NWS recommends to secure outdoor objects.
