
LOS ANGELES (KNX) — The South Coast Air Quality Management District has issued a wind and dust advisory for parts of Los Angeles County, potentially resulting in unhealthy air quality.
The advsiroy, issued Monday, will remain in effect until 3 p.m. Tuesday for central L.A. County, coast L.A. County, and the Santa Clarita, San Fernando, and San Gabriel valleys.

"Air quality can vary hour by hour and by location depending on wind conditions," according to the agency. "South Coast AQMD encourages those in areas of direct impact to limit exposure by remaining indoors with windows and doors closed and avoiding vigorous physical activity."
Dusty conditions can also result in poor visibility for drivers.
A high wind warning remains in effect for the L.A. County mountain regions and Santa Clarita Valley until 10 a.m. A less severe wind warning has been issued in the San Gabrial Valley, Malibu, the Santa Monica Mountains, L.A. County beaches, the San Fernando Valley, and downtown L.A. until 10 a.m. A general wind advisory will remain in place for the Antelope Valley until 9 p.m. and 3 a.m. for Catalina Island.
