The 33-year-old woman charged in the death of an 18-year-old Loyola High tennis star in Manhattan Beach pleaded not guilty to murder and other charges on Tuesday.

Jenia Resha Belt was charged with one felony count of murder, one felony count of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, and one misdemeanor count of driving when privilege suspended or revoked for driving with specified blood alcohol level, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

Belt is scheduled to return to court in March, when a hearing will decide if there’s enough evidence for her to go to trial.

In May, Braun Levi was walking with a friend on Sepulveda Boulevard when he was struck and killed by a suspected drunk driver.

In December, Braun’s mother, Jennifer, joined a press conference held by L.A. County District Attorney Nathan Hochman, where she called for tougher drinking and driving laws in California.
