Woman last seen in Palmdale reported missing

A 49-year-old woman who authorities said has been diagnosed with Huntington's disease was reported missing Thursday after last being seen in Palmdale.

Jacquelyn Lawan Brown was last seen Wednesday at 11 a.m. on the 38000 block of 10th Street East, according to the Sheriff's Information Bureau.

Brown is Black, 5 feet, 1 inches tall, weighs 118 pounds, is bald, has brown eyes, a scar on her chest and a tattoo of a scorpion on her right bicep. She was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, plaid boxers and white shoes.

Anyone with information about Brown or knows of her whereabouts was asked to call the Sheriff's Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500. Anonymous tipsters can call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477 or send tips to lacrimestoppers.org.

Huntington's disease is a progressive, inherited neurodegenerative brain disorder for which there is no treatment or cure.
