Mere weeks after visiting family in Beverly Hills with her mother, Yasmin found herself back home in Israel just as Iranian missiles started raining down from above during the recent rocket attack.
Yasmin, who spoke with KNX News' Emily Valdez while driving from a shelter to her home in Modi’in, recounted the harrowing ordeal.

"It was insane," she said. "We heard these booms like we'd never heard before. The bombing was so different from what we've experienced in the past. Our area doesn't usually get hit with so many rockets, but it was terrifying. Knowing my dad was home alone and my brother was in Tel Aviv without a safe room."

"We're just listening to the IDF to see what they tell us to do," she explained. "Before I left the shelter, I heard they said it seemed clear for a few minutes, but we might get more rockets soon."
Iran launched at least 180 missiles into Israel during this latest attack that threatens to push the Middle East closer toward a region-wide war.
With the situation remaining uncertain, Yasmin advised her mother, who stayed behind in Beverly Hills for the holidays, to remain there for her safety.
