NEW ORLEANS, LA. (WWL) — Police in New Hampshire are searching for a 7-year-old girl who was last seen in 2019 but only reported missing last week.

Authorities are urging anyone who knows anything about the disappearance of Harmony Montgomery to come forward.

Harmony is described as a white female, approximately 4-feet tall and 50 pounds with blonde hair, blue eyes and glasses.

Harmony was last seen at a home in Manchester in October 2019, when she was 5-years-old. Police officers saw her that day while responding to a call for service.

Early last week, Manchester police got a report from New Hampshire's Division of Children, Youth and Families that Harmony was missing and hasn't been seen in years.

"The circumstances surrounding this prolonged absence are very concerning and are being thoroughly investigated," Police Chief Allen Aldenberg said when announcing Harmony's disappearance on New Year's Eve.

Aldenberg said investigators do not know where Harmony might be or who she could be with. Police also do not have enough information on the circumstances of her disappearance to issue an Amber Alert, Aldenberg added.

"I'm appealing to everyone, help us find this little girl," he said, getting emotional. "Someone knows something. Do what is right and call in. I cannot emphasize this enough. Someone out there knows something."

Police have spoken with some of Harmony's family members since she was reported missing, but those interviews only left investigators more concerned for her wellbeing.

"We are two years behind the power curve in where Harmony should have been and who she should have been with, she's not with them," Aldenberg said.

Police also visited the address where Harmony was last seen, but the home is now owned by someone who has no involvement in the case, Alderberg said.

Investigators will continue to assume Harmony is alive, Aldeberg added, "until somebody shows me something that points that she's not."

"Somewhere out there, this little girl is in need of help," he said. "And I need your help on helping us to find her safe."

Police have created a dedicated tip line for any information about Harmony's disappearance. The phone number, 603-203-6060, is being manned by investigators 24/7 and can also receive text messages.

"I cannot emphasize enough how important any and all tips are, even if you believe you saw this little girl a year ago or two years ago. Please call in," Aldenberg said. "Knowing where she was can help us narrow it down to where she is now."

Manchester CrimeLine is offering a cash reward of $2,500 for information that leads to Harmony being found. Two local business owners are also offering a $10,000 reward for tips.
