“We will not use real guns ever again. We are going to be using rubber guns and we’ll take care of it in post [production],” Johnson said Wednesday night at the premiere of his new film “Red Notice.”

“We won’t worry about the dollars. We won’t worry about math or what the cost is. I think we’re going to do it the right way,” Johnson continued, outlining the new decree for his production company, Seven Bucks.

“I can’t speak for anyone else. But I can tell you, without an absence of clarity here, that any movie that we have moving forward with Seven Bucks Productions—any movie, any television show, or anything we do or produce—we won’t use real guns at all,” Johnson declared.

Johnson's company produced “Jungle Cruise,” “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle,” and several other pictures through his production company.

His announcement comes two weeks after cinematographer Halyna Hutchins died and director Joel Souza was hurt when Alec Baldwin fired a loaded “prop gun."

Lawyers representing the armorer responsible for double-checking props have denied accusations she was inexperienced, claiming the deadly situation resulted from sabotage.
