Houston police respond to school shooting; suspect is former student, administrator in serious condition

HOUSTON (1080 KRLD)- Houston police have reported an active shooting situation at a school.

According to ABC 13, the suspect was identified as a 25-year-old former student who got in through firing through the entry windows. He then shot an administrator who is in serious condition.

Around 11:45 a.m., police responded to reports of a shooting at the school located at 4400 Anderson Road at Hiram Clarke, according to Houston police tweets.

About 15 minutes following the initial tweet, Houston police reported a suspect was in custody and they were searching the school for more possible suspects.

Parents have been asked to reunite with their students at a staging area at West Fuqua and Hiram Clarke.

The scene is considered still active at this time. No further information has been released.
