
CHICAGO (KNX) — Rapper Lil Durk is recovering after an on-stage mishap during his performance at Lollapalooza over the weekend, forcing him to take a break from touring and "focus on [his] health."

Lil Durk posted to social media a picture of himself with gauze covering his eye and a message to fans that due to what he called ‘the incident’ at Lollapalooza.
The Englewood native, whose real name is Durk Banks, was on stage Saturday afternoon. Halfway through performing his verse from Pooh Shiesty's “Back In Blood,” Durk was met with a powerful explosion of smoke from a pyrotechnic device. The incident briefly halted the show being broadcast on Hulu streaming.
The 29-year old "What Happened to Virgil" rapper stopped briefly and wiped his face with his t-shirt before finishing the performance for his fans. Ironically, he continued with a performance of the "Who Want Smoke??" remix.
It’s unclear how this unexpected pause will affect his upcoming concerts. He has tour dates scheduled through mid-October.
