A Florida doctor has been arrested and charged with a hate crime after attacking a Latino man outside a Publix in Miami.

According to the Miami Herald, on January 20, the man was in line at the store when he asked the woman to maintain her six-feet of social distance.

Dr. Jennifer Susan Wright, 58, became furious and followed the man to his car. She called him a racial slur and then said, “We should have gotten rid of you when we could,” according to the Herald.

She also said, “This is not going to be Biden’s America, this is my America” and “we should have burned it all,” the newspaper reports.

A ferocious Trump supporter, the anesthesiologist from Mount Sinai Medical Center, took her keys and scratched the man’s car. When he tried to call the police, she punched him making him drop his phone. When he be bent down to pick it up she kicked him and stomped on his phone.

Wright was arrested Friday, February 19 at her home in Miami Springs. She was charged with tampering with a victim, criminal mischief and battery with prejudice.

NBC News reports that Mount Sinai issued a statement Monday announcing that Wright was "no longer responsible for patient care" at its medical center and that the hospital system is fully cooperating with law enforcement.

"Our medical center was founded more than 70 years ago on a foundation of inclusiveness, at a time when patients and doctors alike were facing discrimination in the community and the in the practice of medicine," the statement said. "Today we remain proud to be a mission-driven organization that recognizes and serves the rich diversity of our patient population, our staff and the community."
