Pat Sajak and Vanna White have signed a contract to continue hosting the show through 2024. Sajak will also be adding consulting producer to his resume, according to Deadline.

With the popular game show starting a new season, “Wheel of Fortune” has gone through a bumpy road due to the drama caused by Mike Richards, who along with producing “Wheel of Fortune,” was recently named the new host of “Jeopardy!”

Richards ended his role as host of “Jeopardy!” but also announced that he is no longer executive producing the show, as well as “Wheel of Fortune.”

Earlier this month, Richards stepped down from his newly appointed role and apologized after contentious remarks he made about women on a previous podcast resurfaced.

Buzzfeed obtained a letter from Sony saying Richards would no longer serve on both popular game shows, effective immediately.

“We had hoped that when Mike stepped down from the host position at Jeopardy! it would have minimized the disruption and integral difficulties we have all experienced these last few weeks. That clearly has not happened,” said Sony EVP of Business and Strategy Suzanne Prete in a letter to show staff.

Jim Thornton, who will mark his 10th anniversary as “Wheel of Fortune” announcer, will get more screen time in the new season, which premieres on September 13. At the beginning of each episode, he will be seen at a new podium on stage introducing Sajak and White.

Other changes will happen on the new season, including Maggie Sajak, Pat’s daughter, joining the show as Social Correspondent across the show’s social media platforms.

If you’re a big fan of the show, you’ll notice that the “Wheel of Fortune” theme song will return with an updated arrangement. Sajak will no longer do the “Final Spin” of the game. The contest in control of the wheel will spin.
