The weather may be cooling down, but Halle Berry is heating things back up with her latest red-carpet look.
The 55-year old star recently turned heads when she paired a floral velvet suit with a lace-up top for a screening of her latest movie, “Bruised,” in New York City. Berry not only stars in the film, but is making her directorial debut with the project.
InStyle reports that Berry, who was accompanied to the screening by her boyfriend, Van Hunt, wore flare-leg trousers and an oversized blazer over a lace-up top that crisscrossed over her chest, accessorized with open-toe platform heels.
No stranger to fringe, Berry rocked curtain bangs and tousled loose waves that hit just below her shoulders, letting her outfit shine with muted bronze eye makeup and a nude lip.
The Oscar-winning actress plays a fictional disgraced MMA artist named Jackie Justice in “Bruised,” but the title was not fictional for Berry, as she got injured almost immediately after jumping into the role.
In August, it was revealed that Berry broke two ribs on the first day of filming. This isn’t the first time she’s gotten hurt while on set: she previously injured her ribs while filming “John Wick: Chapter 3 — Parabellum.”
"When you break something, it calcifies and it's stronger,” she told the Entertainment Weekly. “You don't usually break the same bones twice.”
"Bruised" will be available for streaming on Netflix on November 24.
