WATCH: Armed robbers posing as candy vendors ambush homeowner in Stockton: police

STOCKTON, Calif. (KNX) — A group of men posing as candy vendors were caught on surveillance video robbing a home in Stockton, according to local police.

The Stockton Police Department released the footage on Wednesday following the Tuesday afternoon robbery of a home on Joplin Lane.

The video, published to Twitter, shows one suspect speaking to the homeowner in an apparent attempt to sell candy. He was seen wearing a mask and holding a box of treats.

Once the homeowner handed over cash, three other suspects appeared from around a corner and rushed into the home.

According to Stockton police, the suspects were armed and got away with several of the homeowner’s belongings.
