Health care officials got a scare yesterday when it appeared that about 6,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine were spoiled at the Soka University vaccination site due to a refrigeration glitch.
Orange County CEO Frank Kim says pharmacists noticed the refrigerator had malfunctioned and was not operating within the required temperature range.
The affected doses were not fully thawed yet, so the doses were moved to a new refrigerator and they can still be used over the next several days.
