Colin Kaepernick, former San Francisco 49ers quarterback turned civil rights activist, is getting his own Ben & Jerry's flavor.
Kaepernick announced the new flavor in collaboration with the Vermont company Thursday called "Change the Whirled." It’s described as a "caramel non-dairy frozen dessert with fudge chips, graham cracker swirls and chocolate cookie swirls." It will be a "full-time" flavor, available in stores in 2021.
All proceeds will go to Kaepernick's non-profit Know Your Rights Camp started in Oakland in 2016.
Kaepernick said the partnership with Ben & Jerry's is to "serve up joy on the journey to justice!"
