Placer County deputies arrest man for stolen hunting gear after victim finds them on Craigslist

LINCOLN, Calif. (KNX) – More than $2,000 worth of stolen duck decoys and hunting equipment were recovered by Placer County deputies on Friday after the suspect attempted to sell them on Craigslist.

Deputies say they responded to a theft call in Lincoln. The victims told deputies they found their stolen hunting gear on Craigslist and set up a meeting with the suspect, the department wrote on Facebook.

Deputies went to the area the victim said they would meet the suspect and found the suspect did have the stolen equipment.

The suspect, identified as 49-year-old Chris Aaberg, was arrested for receiving stolen property, violation of parole, and grand theft among other charges.
