Suspect in Concord bank robbery crashed into cars in parking lot, police say

CONCORD, Calif. (KNX) – A man was arrested Wednesday after he robbed a Concord bank and then drove his car into parked cars while trying to flee police.

Officers responded to the bank robbery on Detroit Avenue, but the suspect had left. Witnesses gave officers a description of the suspect’s car, according to the Concord Police Department.

While patrolling the area, an officer spotted a car heading toward Contra Costa Boulevard in Pleasant Hill.

A pursuit ensued when the suspect went into a parking lot and crashed his car into other cars that were parked there.

Police searched the suspect’s car and found evidence from the bank robbery.

The suspect, whose identity was not revealed, was arrested and booked on multiple felony charges.
