A big decision is expected in Sacramento later this month that will impact gas prices in the state. California Air Resources Board is expected to finalize its cap-and-invest climate program by May 28th. This has to do with gas refineries buying credits to allow them to operate in the state. There's also a bipartisan effort to make sure CARB prioritizes affordability when making its decision. That's being led by Republican Senator Suzette Martinez Valladares from Santa Clarita. She talks about it with L.A.'s Morning News.
