IRVING (1080 KRLD) - Additional charges have been added to a former Lee Britain Elementary School music teacher in Irving.
Polie say Edmund Charles Barrera will now face another Indecency with a Child charge following a recent outcry from a 9-year-old victim.
Police say the incident occurred while Barrera was employed with the district, during classroom hours in the past several years.
Barrera was terminated by the school district in 2018 after Irving detectives filed Indecency with a Child charges in another case.
Police are urging parents to talk with their children.
Any parent who feels their child may have been touched inappropriately is urged to report the matter to law enforcement.
