DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - Following a search of the Catholic Diocese of Dallas buildings, Bishop Edward Burns is responding further to detectives' suggestions that the church hindered the investigation into sexual abuse allegations.
Bishop Burns posted a video Friday, with documentation to counter claims made in a Dallas Police search warrant on Wednesday.
Since the church released a list of 31 priests accused of sex abuse, police say they have received 5 more allegations, against Edmundo Paredes, who was a priest at Saint Cecilia Catholic Church in North Oak Cliff for 27 years, and other suspects.
