Sirois had some minor burns, the 60-year-old driver had some as well and a few cuts.
Not many of us know what's it like to save a life. But Sirois, who's kept in touch with the driver does. "It feels really good. I was able to see he attended his grandchildren's birthdays this year."
He says he was nominated by either Belton police or fire.
In all, 18 people nationwide were named Carnegie Hero's this year for acts of extraordinary heroism. The award will come with a 55 hundred dollar prize.
